I have a Cisco 3620 router and at another office there is another cisco router.

When they try to connect to us they call with i ISDN line and then there is a connection.

Now when they try to connect they can't. When i look at the isdn history there are no calls made. But they said it was calling so i turned on debugging for isdn

At the moment they try to ping i get the following on the correct interface
1w0d: ISDN BR0/5: Recvd MPH_IIC_IND from L1
1w0d: ISDN BR0/5: L1 persistent Deactivated
1w0d: ISDN BR0/5: Recvd MPH_IIC_IND from L1
1w0d: ISDN BR0/5: L1 persistent Deactivated
1w0d: ISDN BR0/5: Recvd MPH_IIC_IND from L1
1w0d: ISDN BR0/5: L1 persistent Deactivated

I have no idea what it means. I checked the ISDN line on my part and nothing wrong. They checked it but also there line is ok.

What next?

do a shut, no shut on the bro interface, then do a sh isdn stat to make sure all 3 layers are established. the L1 indicates a cable issue, which means the interface is admin shut, the cable is duff or the isdn line is faulty.

Did everything and apperently the cable wasn't a 100% so used a new cable and worked like a charm.

You put me in the right direction. Thanks
