Hello,
I'm trying to rebuild an old computer from parts. I have it all together, but when I turn it on, I only see faint lines on the monitor. Could this be from a dead cmos battery? I am sure that the monitor works with the video card. There is no operating system on the HD, and the computer doesn't boot to a floppy or anything at all. It just hangs on a screen with lines.

the battery is a good guess,how about any
missing or misplaced m/board jumpers?
power leads to board on right?
