I can't get any noise out of my machine. I am running windows 98 se. I have a sound blaster external device (USB). WMP says it cannot locate an audio device. I have reinstalled the drivers several times. Device manager says there are no conflicts and the device is working properly, however, when I go to control panel multimedia the page for audio is greyed out.

Any Ideas?

maybe you need a driver for usb ver.2.0. its not native in win98se but it is in xp.

hope this helps. peace! [peace]
