Good Morning All,
I have a strange one here... We just installed 8 Long Distance PRI's. All but one installed with no problems. The 4th PRI in the trunk group sets up and knocks down calls correctly with no errors but the calling person and person being called do not hear any audio. The LD Carrier has just done a type of loop back test which allows them to simulate connectivity to a PBX using the circuit. The tech was able to hear himself on the call with the loop back engaged. Can anyone think of any reason why or how the Avaya might not allow audio to pass?
Thanks,
Perry Pennington

Something that you could try to narrow this down is to swap out the pack with another that is working correctly. If the problems is corrected you can replace the faulty pack. If this doesn’t clear up the problem you can then go to your LD Carrier and have them swap out equipment on their end. I really feel this is the CO's problem but you have to test your end thoroughly to convince the CO to test their end.

Had the same problem, turned out to be the CSU/DSU didn't have all the channels routed to the DTE port, which is conected to the switch. Hope this helps
