Hi folks,

I am facing a headache problem about multi-language. Actually, I have two environments, 1 is development in local office another is production in client's office. I need to display English, Portuguese and T. Chinese. I don't have any problem in development oracle, no matter VB program and view in crystal report. But in client's site, the Portuguese could not display correctly in VB and crystal report.

I checked Oracle web site, and set the
NLS_LANG = AMERICAN_AMERICA.WE8MSWIN1252
in registry.

I have to export entire development database and import to production server, but isn't work. In crystal report, some hardcode Portuguese can display but all data get from database couldn't and display as ¡§?¡¨.

Any comment is highly appreciated. Thanks!

Regards,

Tony

I think for all these languages you might need - UTF8. Doubtfull the you can do that with two-byte character set as WE8ISO8859P1 (which is mostly Latin based).

Hope that helps,
