I have a question with regards to Afterhour coverage on my switchboard consoles.
Currently they are setup to go to one certain ext. to cover afterhours.
Recently upper management have decided that they would like the afterhours calls to go to a specific ext. from Sunday to Thursday at different times of the day and then to a different ext. from Friday to Sunday at different times of the day.

I have been looking at the NIT_DATA in my Customer Data Block parms and am not sure if you can distinguish the actual "days"

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

send the nit target to call pilot or mermail, run that into a time of day, day of week.. have the outputs call the dn's for you..

when i hear day of week, i look at mail.. fastest and clean

John, I got most of what you suggested I have even already created the Voice Services DN and the TOD.
What I am missing (and believe me this is probably so easy but I can't for the life of me figure it out) is have the outputs call 2 different DN's.

Thanks again,

David

Create a dummy ACD in Ld 23. Point your NIT1 to the Dummy ACDN. Use the Dummy ACDN in the Voice Services DN to get your TOD to work properly.

But I would need it to ring to 2 separate ext's at different times of the week from one TOD.

Here is the AFTER HOURS schedule that I need to create

Shift Department
Sunday 16:00 to Monday 6:00 Security (ext. 5555)
Monday 22:00 - Tuesday 6:00 Security (ext. 5555)
Tuesday 22:00 - Wednesday 6:00 Security (ext. 5555)
Wednesday 22:00 - Thursday 6:00 Security (ext. 5555)
Thursday 22:00 - Friday 6:00 Security (ext. 5555)
Friday 20:00 - Saturday 9:00 IT Operations (ext. 5500)
Saturday 15:00 - Sunday 9:00 IT Operations (ext. 5500)
I can't figure out how to get it to ring to 5555 from Sunday to Thursday and then ring to 5500 on weekends.

Where do you want it to go after hours Sunday-Thursday? To 5500?

Build your TOD table using the ACDN in the PBX as your Time of Day Contol ID: and set your business hours up for Sunday-Thursday.

You will have a Business Hour Service ID: and a Off-Hours Service ID:

(Here is where I am forgetful after moving to CallPilot,is how to redirect a DN from the TOD) But you should be able to find to unused non-did DN's from your PBX. Build two more dummy ACDs with these to DN's. NCFW one to 5500 and the other to 5555.

Go back to the VM system and setup two Voice Service DNs as VM (Voice Messaging) using the two Non-DID DNs you just built Dummy ACDs for. Go back to your TOD control: and use the two new Voice Service IDs in the Business-Hours Service ID: and Off-Hours Service ID:

These will use the Dummy ACDs to redirect the calls to your extensions 5500 and 5555. I am not sure if the VM service DNs are you best bet, but it will work for you to test.

Sorry I couldn't explain it better, but I only had about 6 interuptions trying to type this up.
