I am trying to figure out if I can have the AA not answer when I activate night service.

The situation is this: we have nursing home that is staffed 24 hours a day. During the day, the receptionist is there, but we want the AA to field the calls first so the caller can choose to reach a nurse or business office, etc. without going through the receptionist. Many callers choose 0 or 221 (receptionist) and then she transfers them. At night, we want to have these calls answered by someone at the 3 nurse's stations. Since the dial 0 calls dont seem to forward to multiple extensions, I would like to just press night service, set the system to ring the 6 extensions at the nurse's stations and have AA not answer at all. How do I program the AA to not answer at all during night service? Thanks in advance.

sure in services set ext to a hunt group that all3 stations are member off..if lower than 4.1 us answer dn in sam e way

I am sorry, I don't quite understand your answer. Could you please provide more detail. Thank you again.

make it even easier just forward console to a hunt group after 5pm or what ever time it is...what release is software?????

It is 7.0 software. The problem with forwarding we have ran into is not all of the calls seem to forward (eg. dial 0 from the AA). Is it possible to just press the Night Service button and have the AA not answer anymore and have the nurse's stations ring? Thanks.

The key here is you have to set up your service modes backwards...

rename night mode as "DAY", program your lines to ring normally to the phones you want to ring at night, then set up your new "DAY" mode to include VM. The attendant set will read "Services On" during the day.

Great idea, RikRodgers! I will set it up just like that. Should work wonderfully. Thank you for the helpful advice.
