I have a option 11c running rls 4.0 with a mer mail rls 13.. I'm having trouble getting this to work so my question is this, if I have a DID coming in on a pri that rings the console during business hrs,.. when the console is placed into night mode, how would i program the system/DID to ring the night bell?

Under the NIT data program the DN of an analog port and connect it to a loud ringer.

you would then need to consider how the bell is answered..

Ok under NIT data there is a number that is associated with mermail
TYPE NIT_DATA
CUST 00
NIT1 8104
TIM1
NIT2
TIM2
NIT3
TIM3
NIT4
TIM4
ENS NO

also ld49 shows the DID pointed to "0"

If you want it to go to a night bell then remove 8104 and make NIT1 your new analog port for the night bell. Then you could set up 8104 no forward no answer to MerMail after so many rings.

Ok sorry i didn't give enough information we have a main number and a secondary number both ring the console during the day, when the console is placed into night mode i want the main number to use the menu (which it does now) but i want to direct the secondary number to ring the night bell currently it uses the same menu in mermail that the main number uses.

Probably the easiest thing to do is set up an option in the Night Auto Attendant to press a digit to ring the bell.

I agree and that's how i have it setup currently but the customer asked if they can be seperated during night mode.

Does this other number come into a different LDN key on the Console or the same LDN Key? Print your LDN data in ld 21

Yes - set up a menu in Mer mail that revert DNs to Night bell, you will need to record something - please wait while call is transfered or even just a little static.

create a VSDN with the DID pointed to this MS you just created

Main number will still get Auto Attendant. DID number will get night bell
