I am currently looking at a Nice digital recording project. Nice is stating that they will get the CTI info from the CDR port. I donot capture incoming calls. How will nice capture any incoming info on a CDR port that ignores the inbound calls. I see other posts stating that the Nice is connected via Mapd.

I am confused and getting cranky

Thanks in advance

can you not change the settings in the cdr system parameters to record incoming calls also. I presume you have the "Record Outgoing Calls only?" set to Y.

TykeUK Thanks for the reply! I can change that setting but I don't want inbound calls recorded on my Call acounting server. I don't have the server disk space to log calls that are of no use to me.

Thanks

You can set up the loggers in a number of different ways. That is the reason for the confusion. It can be done via a mapd and CTI server. It can be done via smdr...Or it can be installed trunk side. The type of config really depends on what you are tring to accomplish.

Also most Call accounting systems allow you to ignore data that is sent to it should you not wish to record incoming...and do wish to use the smdr interface.

I have Nice loggers recording trunk side at my current location using a "coupler" device. But as I said above this is kinda like configuringg BRI their is more then one correct answer.
