Hi
I have a Nice 8.7 which works smoothly on a Win NT m/c but doesn't on a Win 2K m/c. The CPU utilisation shoots to 100% for those m/c's with Win 2k whenever I install Nice screenagent. This problem is only for screenagent on Win 2k machines.

Any idea?

Thnx

Robonix.

Hi Robonix,

Sounds very similar to a problem that we are facing while testing a Windows 2000 rollout to client machines... this is to do with the Screen Agent software that you are using.

If you look in NT's task manager, you SHOULD see a program called NTRec.exe, this is the screen agent software which is ONLY designed to run on Windows NT.

In order for screen agent to work under Windows 2000, the software must be upgraded to Screen Agent v8.5.5. Not sure how big your organisation / site is etc, but we have a Global Agreement with NICE as we have 57 centres round the world and they want to charge us USD $25,000 for this upgrade... just for the UK !!!

Hope this helps, any questions - feel free to ask!

Does this mean that other parts of Nice 8.7 work on Win2K? ScreenAgent isn't a huge deal to us, and we'd ideally like to load 8.7 on Win2K... but had heard that it wasn't possible. Is anyone running pre-8.8 on Win2K?
