Nibbler.exe What is this

I have been trying to find some info on a process running on my exchange 2000 server called nibbler.exe.

I was looking at my event app logs and noticed an event by nibbler. One says:

COMM:Created connection to [mail.mydomain.com:ip address:216]

another says:
Authorization request recieved from user [nibbler], mode [AUTH_TEXT].

Another:
Requestion tape information from OS. This may take a while.(ConfigGetTapeInfo)..

Another:
Requesting tape information DONE.

Another:
Requestion SCSI information from OS. this may take a while 9ConfigGetScsiInfo)..

Another:
Requesting SCSI information DONE.

Last one:
COMM:Closed connection to [mail.mydomain.com:ip address:216]

I will check with my backup department to see if it is the backup agent but i have never seen this before.

any ideas?

Looks like it's a backup agent doing a brick level backup perhaps? Interesting...it doesn't google though...

I'm Certifiable, not certified.
It just means my answers are from experience, not a book.

I was surprised also that google had no info. My backup girl is at lunch so when she gets back i will ask. I was just nervous about the word nibbler.exe. All i could think about is it nibbling away at my data. Thanx for the help

Nibbler.exe is the agent program for our backup software. thanx for the help.

We have two girls in the IT dept. One has been here for like 19 years and the other 6. One does backups, help desk, etc. The other is our database programmer.
