real quick one. Does G3r V6 support NI 2

NI2 should be supported in V6. However, you must have ISDN-PRI enabled in the customer options as it was a RTU purchase at that time.

I had this same problem when converting to ISDN-PRI and determined that none of the 3 PBX's would support NI2 protocol. One switch is a G3RV4 the other 2 g3siV6. If your saying that the V6 switches support NI2 then why did it not work on my two other pbx's. I had to have the carrier switch to custom setting. I also checked and the isdn-pri field is correctly administered. Any suggestions. This has been a problem with all of our conversions to PRI swervice, even at our Nortel sites

protocol B is NI2. Valid in all Definity configurations with PRI. Sounds like you didn;t change the protocol to B (NI2) from the default A (att custom) on the 1st page of the ds1 form.

I did try protocol B but it still did not work. Im wondering if there is something else that needs to be turned on by Avaya in order for the NI2 to work. When I hit the help button protocol B is for Q-Sig. Is that correct?

No. You set the protocol pn the DS1 form. Not the signalling group form.
