Anyone got any PDF's or sensible drawing things that explain Exactly the procedure for Connecting thru a DMZ either 1494 and/or 443/444 I am having trouble explaining what I want to some firewall chaps.

First a question.

If I have 3 citrix servers do I need 3 separate external IP's for ALTADDR or can I map them all to 1.

Cheers
Scott

Hi,

Not got any drawings but I've got AltAddress's set on each of my servers that go out of my "Extranet" to our external clients. These then have the appropriate NAT's on the firewall and TCP ports 80 and 1496 and UDP 1604 open.

Hope this helps,
Carl.

I assume from the apostrophe on the Altaddr's you mean you have one for each CTX server. I was kinda hoping to be able to give all three the same one, oh bother.

Hmmm UDP ?

I will be going to CSG as soon as I can get the connectivity working. so I should not need 1496 or 1604 just 443/444 .

Thanks for that Carl.

Cheers

Hi,

I believe that you have to had an individual address for each server, but I could be wrong! Same as with normal IP addresses.

As I don't use CSG, I don't know about the required ports but believe that you are correct and that is why I commented on my Firewall/configuration! We've no need for CSG as ours doesn't use 'tinternet but an Extranet.

Cheers,
Carl.

Thanks for the efforts Carl.
