NForce2 Ethernet Problems

Hey Everybody!

My friend recently purchased a Gigabyte GA7N400-L1 Motherboard to put in a new system that he constructed. He installed Win XP Pro and has tried several times to get his NForce Ethernet to access the internet but to no avail. It will connect with add-in ethernet cards and when he is connected via the nforce ethernet, he can release and renew his ip, but he can't access the net. He has tried with the drivers that came with his motherboard and also with the most recent nvidia drivers off the net. We have no idea what's going on but we think that it is somehow a windows problem. Can anyone help?

I AM USING THE ASUS A7V8X DELUXE MOTHERBOARD WITH THE NFORCE2 CHIPSET AND NFORCE2 ETHERNET. NO PROBLEMS. LOADED THE DRIVERS OFF THE CD AND THEN GOT THE UPDATED DRIVERS OFF THE WEBSITE. WORKS LIKE A CHAMP. TRY BLOWING AWAY THE DRIVERS, REBOOT, AND LET WINDOWS XP FIND IT. IF IT ASKS FOR THE DRIVER DISK, PUT IT IN AND TRY IT. OTHER THAN THAT, MAYBE SENT THERE SUPPORT AN EMAIL. LET ME KNOW IF I CAN HELP WITH ANYTHING ELSE.
