Hi all,
Im a newbie to DNS and have inherited what I think may be an issue.
setup is as follows. four virtual servers running mix of 2003 and 2008 DNS is running on one of the virtualised 2003 servers
These are connected to the outside world by a BT business ADSL line. using BT's DNS
Currently the DNS server on the 2003 is set to forward requests to the ADSL router and this works with no issue.
The problem has occured when we wanted to utilise OpenDNS for some basic webfiltering. Changing the DNS at the ADSL router to OpenDNS's servers resulted in when I tried to ping the virtual servers by name the started resolving to external public addresses (instead of the 192.168.x.x)
The same also occured when I changed the forwarding on the DNS server itself.
not sure where to begin can someone please help ?
Thank you in advance
