Newbie SQL User Issue

[Invatech]

While attempting to access MS SQL server 2000 database from another application running on a client machine, I, for no reason that I can determine, I am no longer able to access the database to read. I suspect that I am locked out because I can no longer connect with the database using ODBC from the control panel. I am, however, able to access the database for another machine on the same network using ODBC from the control panel.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated as this is an urgent problem.
