I just had Exchange installed (not yet live) and am trying to configure our email addresses. Two users need to share an email address. With my old POP3 email server, I just added the account to both Outlook clients. Problem with is that each outlook client could have messages that the other user needs to see.

But I'm sure there is a better way with Exchange. How do I set up a public or shared account that then two Outlook clients can see all messages sent and received on that email address?

Thanks,
MW

You simply Add the other mailbox to open on load.
Tools - Options - Mail Setup - E-Mail Accounts -
Select View .. and click Next
Select the account and click Change, then More Settings and Advanced.
Click Add to add the shared Mailbox.
Don't forget to give the other user FULL rigthts on the server though!

Marc, I'd go one further here in my org (which is probably different to the above)...

Joe Bloggs.
Fred Bloggs.
Sharing Sales@

In this scenario, I'd either DL or public folder the Sales@ and grant send as permissions to the Bloggs brothers.

Your last line should probably read "give the other user full rights to the other mailbox on the server". You SERIOUSLY don't want them to have full rights on the server!!!

:)

The remark about the last line is correct, the user of course, not the entire server ;-)
