Hi,

I am just getting accustomed to XML and I have a very basic question I hope someone can answer for me.

I have an xml file which has some data values in it. I would like to output those values into a table in html format. What type of files do I have to create to achieve this? I did some browsing around and I believe a XSL file will convert the xml data into a table. However, since I have just the .xml file which contains data values, do I need to make a schema to make it work?

Lastly, are there any tools out there with which I can accomplish this task quickly. Any brief info or pointer to an article on how these items work would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you kindly,

Thanks for the info!

I tried using xmlspy's stylesheet designer and it doesn't let you create an xsl file via its drag and drop interface as there is no schema / dtd defined. The problem is that I have just the raw xml data file with no schema. Is there anyway to generate a proper schema based on my data automatically so I can then create the xsl file?

I appreciate any help, Thanks.
