But seriously....
If you opened an xml file in NotePad I suppose you could say in a simplistic sense that you imported it; xml is after all, only text.
But I would think that a more serious meaning would be that an application would be said to be importing an xml file if it had the means to parse the tree and thus get to any node and extract the values and /or attributes. Thus if you used the DOMDocument object in VB, you could import say a customer data base, and extract all the contact names and phone numbers. Jim Brown,
