Newbie - problems creating a web project 1

I am trying to create a web project and get the following error

The web server reported the following error when attempting to create or open the Web project located at the following URL: ‘

http://localhost:8080/webapplication1’.

‘ A connection with the server could not be established’.

I have changed ports from 80 to 8080 in the IIS to get this far and I've also ran aspnet_regiis

Can anyone help, please

Do you allow the Internet Information Services to act like a server behide the firewall? (You have a firewall, don't you?)

AND SOMETHING ELSE:

1. Uninstall "Zone Alarm" if you have it.

2. To set your connection option to bypass proxy for local addresses

. In the Tools menu, select Options.
. Under the Projects node, select Web Settings.
. Click Connection Settings in the Options dialog box.
. In the Internet Properties dialog box, select the Connections tab and click LAN Settings.
. In the LAN Settings dialog box, select Bypass proxy server for local addresses.
. Click OK to close all open dialog boxes.
