Hi there I'm new to Dreamweaver & was having some problems with the alignment when using a layer. I have everything centered but once I add a layer it looks fine until I preview it. It looks centered when I have the favorites tab open but once I close it goes all wonky. Hopefully someone can help me out with this?

Thanks!
Mike

mike do you have the code or a live site? so we can see what's going on?

Hello Mike--did you ever get an answer to this question? Or did you figure out what was up? Or give up?
I noticed there is still a problem with the link you gave.
I have seen this same placement effect that is showing on your site when combining tables with layers. I don't think they can be combined.
My issue is strictly with layers. I have searched this forum for more info; yours is as close as I have found. . .but you never got an answer that I can see.
I use DW-MX on Mac.
I began using layers because my understanding is they are more "absolute" for placement than tables. Lately I have noticed the pages show differently on a Mac IE, Safari or FireFox then they do on a PC IE or FireFox.
An example is The "Make a Donation" button in the text is within a layer. On the PC it is placed ok; on a Mac it is way too low. Don't understand why.
I'd appreciate any help you have.

Clarification of above post:
I have been able to use tables within layers, but not layers within tables.
