Please help. I have created my first template with 3 frames and I can't figure out how to save the whole page as a template, not just each frame individually.
Thanks!

Hi, ok the first thing to do is SAVE Frame as Template then you'll save all individual pages.

Hope it'll help ;-)

Hi

We use templates so that we can create many pages using common elements which can be changed and updated through the site in one easy step. This way we can repeat elements as many times as we like - we just don't care! These templates usually contain a link to our CSS, some form of navigation bar etc. etc.

Frames are a form of template in so much that they are made from one frameset file which contains placeholders for all of its individual frames. One frame can be a banner, one can be the navigation and one for the main pages for example. People use frames because they want these common elements to appear on each page, but they only create one file for each of these "static" pages. Usually only one page changes. There is no need to create a template out of a frameset because there is only one frameset file.

There is a need to create a template file for the mainframe pages though, as you will have many of these. This is why sharky99 has told you to select the changing frame and choose to "save frame as template". Derren
