newbie....motion tween

ok, so this is probably the most basic question EVER but... when I motion tween a navbar going horizontally across the screen, it seems very NOT smooth... kind of clips it as it goes across - I tried a motion guide instead, that (for reasons that I don't particularly understand) somewhat fixed it... but there must be a better way? thanks guys!
 
Find tutorials on Actionscripting. That is the best way to go.

It's often a question of playing with the movie's framerate, length in frames of the tween and how much distance on the screen between the start position and the ending position.

You might get a better result with AScripted tweens.
