newbie, in a hurry, just want to do simple text site

i picked up a copy of dw mx 2004 a couple of years ago, and ended up putting it on the shelf; now, i am in a hurry, and need to, initially, just set up a text file on a site, then later enhance as needed...

so, rather than spend hours trying to figure how to do a simple app like this, thought i might check to see if someone could clue me in to basic 1, 2, 3 step process to accomplish this...?
