How can I make a back up of my db?,
and if I need to use the back up,
how can I restore it to the db?

Your question is VERY basic. A little research would get you the answer as it has been asked so many times on this forum and Forum183.

1. Make the BOL your friend. It has all the directions you need.

2. Look at the FAQs on this forum and FORUM183

3. Search this forum and FORUM183.

Look up BACKUP DATABASE and RESTORE DATABASE in the BOL.
