Newb - How can I reset or flash my 2950 to factory settings?

Please help....
I acquired a Catalyst 2950 switch which is configured for whatever network it was on before. I don't know the password, and anytime I tried to do anything while consoled in, I get the message "Translating "xxxxxx"...domain server (255.255.255.255). % Unknown command or computer name, or unable to find computer address."

Can someone help me get this thing back to factory settings, so I can practice on it. Thanks.

Use the normal procedure for a 2900 series:-

Hold in the mode button while powering on for about 8 - 10 secs then release.

Then it should start defaulting to the factory setup.
