I am new to setting up a server. I have recently downloaded the windows .net server RC1 which is a lot like windows 2k server. I am trying to setup a file, print, web, mail, dns, and possibly other servers.
My setup is as follows:
1)two computers running windows xp and one running windows .net server
2)a static ip address
3)a linksys 4 port router
4)a cd w/ microsoft exchange server 2000
5)1 newer hp printer
My goals are as follows:
1)have all computers sharing files and recognizing other computers on the network
2)set up a file, print, mail, and webserver on the machine with .net server
3)associate my domain name "hysonix.com" with my webserver
I feel a bit overwhelmed! Where should I start? What suggestions do you have before starting? Does anyone know of some good tutorials that can guide me through some of these tasks.
