Hi, all...
I'm VERY new to PBXs. I've been asked to gain access to an S8300/G350 PBX. I've tried using a serial cable(Same ones I use for a Cisco box. Works fine there), and have had no luck so far. I *DID* find information showing me how to connect a cross-over cable, then telnet to a certain address. I have access using the cross-over method, and am finding it seems a lot like a Cisco router.
The question I have is, do I need a special cable from Avaya to talk over a serial cable? How do I upgrade the G350/S8300 to version 3.0? ANy suggestions on where to go to learn what I need to know, or help from someone would be highly appreciated. I'm finding I know just enough to see how much I still have to learn.
Thanks...
