I create a new 2008 Server and then in Hyper-V create a virtual machine and installed the role of File Server. My question is with File Server. When I created the roles in Active Directory in 2008, I wanted to create folders (in files server) in which groups could access folders with their specific privileges. Not sure if I created the folders in the wrong spot, but I can't assign my groups privileges to the individual folders. So I created folders in two places for testing. One in the root of C and the other from within File Server as a new share. Which place is the correct place to create these folders?
