I have a customer with a Prologix V6 and presently has a DID trunk group and DOD trunk group both connected by copper lines from their local provider.
The local provider want's to sell them a new T-1 circuit....A [Flex-Path] and combine the Inward DID lines with the outbound lines... a PRI trunk group..
So far ....a great plan...
But in order for a PRI circuit to but implemented, the customer would have to do a upgrade on the PBX at a cost of about $ 40,000.00 according to AVAYA.
They are a school district and the cost is out of the question for this years budget.
They currently have 400 RTU licenses and a upgrade is the only cost effective way to be able to install a PRI trunk group.
My question is...If the customer would forsake the caller ID portion that a PRI gives them, and just go with straight DID inward and outbound call type trunk group, can I install a T-1 board TN 464 or other, and build a trunk group to satisfy their needs...If so, what kind of trunk group can I implement.
My hunch is...It can't be done!
Any input from anyone out there would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Rich
