Three new SQL Server forums have been added. This forum has been renamed. The reason for these changes is too allow Tek-Tip members to focus on specific issues rather than trying to cover all manner of issues and topics in one forum.

forum960: Microsoft SQL Server: Analysis Services (OLAP)
forum961: Microsoft SQL Server: Data Transformation Services
forum183: Microsoft SQL Server: Programming
forum962: Microsoft SQL Server: Setup and Administration

If you want to get the best answer for your question read faq183-874 and faq183-3179.

Great Work

Hey Terry, are they going to redo the FAQ's so they are in the appropriate forum, now that we've split up the subjects or do we need to do it ourselves? The one I just wrote probably belongs in all 4 forums. Are you (hint, hint) going to write one helping people decide which of the 4 forums their question belongs in?

I've discussed moving the FAQs with the site manager. The FAQs will be moved to appropriate forums. I don't know the time table.

If you feel a FAQ belongs in all four, you can certainly replicate it in the various forums.

I've not had a lot of time but a FAQ about the forums would be helpful. Maybe this weekend. If you want to get the best answer for your question read faq183-874 and faq183-3179.
