New server not recognized

I am setting up a new isa proxy. My boss wants it to have same name and ip address. When I take the old one offline, join the new one to the AD domain, it does not work. Is there ip caching in the 7204 router that would prevent this from working? Thanks.

It could be that the ARP cache in the router still has the old MAC address associated with that IP address. Try clearing the ARP cache after you switch to the new server.
