New Physical Drive

Do i need to do anything special when adding a new drive as a backup drive. Nothign on it will be shared or hold applications. Just a straight backup of the main drive on the server.

Are you talking about a hot spare for a Raid configuration?

Will u be adding it in a raid configuration.or just a basic hard drive to take the backup of files and folders.

the server currently only has 1 120gb hard drive. it will just be a drive that will take a backup as it is now too big for tape backups and also easier to find a single file or folder.
