Hello!

I work for a restaurant that has Aloha POS system. There is a server and an office computer in the back, 3 terminals through the restaurant, and printers running off of those.

We're keeping the server as is but replacing the PC. I've noticed the Aloha EDS and Aloha Manager loaded on the old comp. As far as I know the employees just use the PC for internet browsing, produce orders, etc., though I'm a bit scared seeing this Aloha stuff. Network places are \\term1\bootdrv \\Alohaboh and \\Alohaboh\BOOTDRV

So... Do I need to call an aloha tech and get a CD for this new PC or will everything run off the server and still work fine after I map the folders? Thanks alot for the help guys, I'm sure I sound less versed than others in the Aloha world.

Sounds like your office PC used to be the Aloha server. Unless you use the office pc to "remotely" contol Aloha Manager there should be no POS issues involved in replacing that computer. I would however take a hammer to the hard drive after you are sure you have all data and files migrated to the new pc to ensure none of the data in Aloha leaves the building.
