I've a Sharp 9030CD (120 mhz), and am considering options in upgrades. At the moment, I'm leaning towards finding a more powerful motherboard - it's a beginning...

Unfortunately, while I'm not entirely ignorant where desktop computers are concerned, I've done little in the realm of laptops.

Can anyone suggest what I need to know...where to look...or whether or not what I am considering is feasible?

Any response is appreciated...

You'll find that laptop M/Bs are standalone beasts with zilch for upgrade potential. You might find some laptops with processor upgrade potential, but I haven't had my hands on any to this point.

Ed is right.

Laptop Motherboards are designed to fit in the laptop they were made for.

You won't find a Mother Board upgrade for your laptop. Additional RAM and a bigger hard drive would probably be the best hope...
