Morning all

I am fast running out of disk space on our database drive (Exchange Server 2003 Enterprise SP2) so need to expand. I am installing a new external disk storage at the weekend, and will then need to create either a new mailbox store or a new storage group.

My question is, what it the best option - performance wise? Logs are on a seperate disk with no space issues, so i am leaning towards just a new mailbox store

Does anyone have any thoughts?

Cheers

You'll want a new Storage Group. Transaction logs are per storage group, so creating a new one will also allow you to specify where the logs for that SG go.
