We are a secondary school with about 150 staff, 1500 students. Senior staff are asking me, is there any way of notifying a user who logs on to network,when he has new mail without actually starting Outlook. We are NT4(SP6) server and worstation and Exchange 5.5. All workstations run Office 2000 fully service packed up etc. I have told them no, not without starting Outlook but said I will investigate, is there anyone out there who can set me straight...
