Hello,

I'm more use to work on an Alcatel PBX but I have an issue with a CISCO IP PBX.

Cisco Unity Express Version 2.2

We introduced a new LOCAL area code 579 which I'm unable to use ... like a restriction.

Under CONFIGURE - SYSTEM PARAMETERS - CALL BLOCKING CONFIGURATION, the only entry I have is 1900 numbers.

Can anyone help me.

Many thanks

Marc-Andre

Are you able to dial the number directly from your IP phone?

You may need to look at your dial peers configured on the router through CLI. See if you can find something for a number that does work and compare it (possibly add it ) for this number. If you have analog lines, can you clip a butt set on and dial the number, to see if it works, it is possible that the telco does not have it configured, especially if it is a smaller C.O. sometimes they have to wait for updates, just like the rest of us!

I want to thank you guys ! it worked first time.

I compared with our regular area code and I made the same config for that new one.

Thanks a lot !
