Hi. I have noticed that an Informix kenel parameter MAXMEM which liknks to SCOs MAXUMEM parameter does not exist in either stune or mtune. Can I simply edit these files

You can edit /etc/conf/cf.d/stune to add valid entries.
Run "sysdef" first to make sure you need to make the change.
