Hi all,

I have a Compaq Armada 1500c. The HDD is no more being detected. It is a 4.3Gb! I would like to know if a 30Gb will be compatible with the laptop!

No one has past experience in this field? Even if it would detect 4 Gb it will be ok for me!

P.S I won't be able to obtain one to test!

The MB's BIOS will determine if the full 30GB can be recognized.
If it cannot recognize the entire HD, then you can either use the software that comes with the HD, or update the BIOS.
Also, if you're using Win 95 with FAT 16, then you will have to partition the drive with 2GB max partitions.

I had the problem the other day with a Dell Latitude it stoped recognizing the HDD in their kept saying no bootable devices found lalala. So i took it out cleaned it still no joy.
I ended up doing a replace install of 98se and now its a joy to work with NO glitches and recognizes the harddrive every time.
