New file created in SAMBA 3.0

I am running Samba 3.0 under Suse 9.0. Samab has a share called common, there is an empty file in that share that is named with the password of the root user. When I delete it, it is recreated the next time I view that share. All users see the file. What is causing this file to be created and how can I stop it?
