New eMac with panther and Quark 4.1 and Server

I have a new eMac with panther on it, I copied my Quark 4.1 folder from my mac that is running 9.2. My issues is with XPress 4.1 running in Classic will not open my quark files from my server. I can create a new document and save to the desktop and it will open, but it won’t work when I save it to the server or even open older documents. Any suggestions.

Do your files have extensions? if not add the .qxd on the end. I found this to be a problem with people who send in jobs to me and were too lazy to add extensions, and the fork was lost. If you add in the extension Quark 4 likes it again.

Not sure what else would be the problem would be, I never used Classic with quark 4. You could always update to a newer version of quark.. its amazing how many cool things you can find on the internet.. <Python> Know what I mean? Nudge, nudge, wink, wink. Say no more! say no more!</Python>
