Hello all, I have been searching for a solution to an issue for over a week now.

I have a Win2k Server with AD just for the Domain management. Aproximately 25 users.

T1 for Internet with static IP

Had DHCP Giving out ISP DNS and had numerous problems with delayed logins. Setup DNS to show the Server as the Local DNS Server and forwarding.

The Problem: I have to manually restart the DNS Server daily. I can ping ip addresses but nothing with name resolution. After DNS Service restart everything works perfectly for another 24 hours or so.

BTW. I don't have any web servers or WINS running. I was thinking of adding the WINS Server but don't see how that would help with having to restart the DNS Server.

PLS HLP!!!

Any error messages? Wins does help, but not with your problem. You'de probably find your life a little easier. Has this always been the case, or did it just start. You should also have your ISP listed for a dns server on the dns server. Glen A. Johnson
