I have installed a new digital 30. But after it is plugged in I get an amber light in the middle instead of the usual green light that shows up on my other two digital 30s. And if I plug phones in they just say Please wait....

I am running 3.2 on my IP 406 and the new digital 30 is version 4.1(31) where my other devices are version 5.2(53).

Any ideas on what I need to do?

Thank
Greg

Does it even show up under control units? if it does then you need to upgrade it to the same version your other units are running. Go up to file then advanced and upgrade. you should get just that one unit checked off and be able to get it to the proper release. I do not remember a module being in amber just because it was not upgraded. It makes me think there may be something wrong with the hardware.

Yes it is showing up in the control units.

I tried to upgrade the device but when I went into the upgrade feature, it first shows all the devices but it won't let me select any of them.

OK, I found that I can not do this from my workstation but the server that was setup when the system was put in was able to pull up the window correctly and after the I put in the system password the upgrade went through just fine.
