Just bought a new barebones system :
CASE RAIDMAX 268WBP
400W ALLIED POWER SUPPLY,
MB ASUS A7V8X-X/LAN KT400 RTL,
VGA EVGA|FX5200 LE 128-A8-N303-L6 R
CPU AMD|1700+ 1.4 ATHLONXP TBRED%
CPU FAN IGLOO 2320 (AMD/INTEL) RTL
I'm having a problem with the system turning on. The system will not power up the cpu fan or the power supply fan. The only thing I get is a super high pitch whine for about 5 seconds. No motherboard led light or any front cpu lights. I carefully checked all the connectors according to the book and can not get any power to show through the system. I have a 10 gig hard drive and a cd.floppy added, but nothing. I checked the 20pin motherboard connecter from the power supply and I get 5dcv from one of the pins but thats it. I have already exchanged the motherboard and powersupply with ABS company and still the same thing. I did test the power supply connector from the raidmax switch and I could not get an ohm reading change from the switch when I pushed it on and off. Maybe it's the box. what do you think?
thank you carluchi
