I wan't to add an extremely long image to a webpage that i am building in dreamweaver. It will run horizontally across the page and right off the right side of the page. The problem is that i don't want a horizontal scrollbar!

More Info:

I already know that this is possible by making the image a background, but i don't want to do that because the file size will be too large (it's complicated).

So can anyone please help me loose the scroll bar?

thanks,
unfortunately I don't know how to remove the scrollbar!
That's what i was asking for.

I believe what he meant was either you'll need to make it a background, or you'll need to turn off both the horizontal AND vertical scrollbars... I don't believe there's an option to turn off just the one.

it's the window.scrollbars attribute, but I'm having trouble making it work right now... so I won't pretend to give you the syntax, though if you're popping up this window and want the newwindow not to have scrollbars, that's easy...

var newwindow = window.open(&quot;newurl&quot;, &quot;<title>&quot;, &quot;<all the attributes>, scrollbars=0&quot;);
newwindow.focus();

ah lookit that, what is that Wullie, a style? (I was showing javascript by the way, forgot which forum I was in)
