I wan't to add an extremely long image to a webpage that i am building in dreamweaver. It will run horizontally across the page and right off the right side of the page. The problem is that i don't want a horizontal scrollbar!

More Info:

I already know that this is possible by making the image a background, but i don't want to do that because the file size will be too large (it's complicated).

So can anyone please help me loose the scroll bar?

wheter you make it a background or not doesnt change the file size [soapbox]

In this particular situation, making the file the backround would make the file size bigger. It is very comlicated.

I only want one image at the top of the page to continue across the screen "forever". I dont, however, want that image to reappear again and again when scrolling down.

Please don't make me explain myself, i just want an answer on how to remove the horizontal (left-right) scrollbar on a wepage!

you would have to make it a background and use css to fix the background so that the image wont scroll either

will explain about the styles for body

or you could make a layer and make that layer the size that you want and then put in the image and set the overflow of the layer to hidden [soapbox]
