Hey I had a question I have a wireless card set up because the net is only set up downstairs. So anyways I have an integrated lan card for regular rj45 connection. I just got a ps2 and I want to connect my ps2 to my computer some how and let it get net access is this possible. I also have a router if that helps. Let me know.

mws5872,

If I understand this correctly, you have a network on one floor, with a wireless AP/router.

You also have a computer on another floor with both a wireless NIC and a wired NIC, and you want to connect a PlayStation 2 with a wired connection to the computer, which then will connect to the rest of the network wirelessly. What version of Windows XP is this computer running?

The goal would be to have the Playstation 2 acess the internet, going through the wired connection to the computer and then a wireless connection to the LAN.

Is this correct?

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Tcpip \Parameters

Change IPEnableRouter value to 1.

This will enable to XP machine to route traffic from one connection to the other.
