Hi,
if you use windows it's a piece of cake...run the new version of NW, and it will remove the old version and install the new one. If I remember it'll ask you if you want to keep the media db and indexes. Obviously, you must!!!
Please, consider to copy all the files before update...
Anyway you can find everything in the Installation Guide
