Guys,

Hi there - can someone help me with this one ...

I'm just recovering a Solaris server that has crashed. Booted of CD to mini-root, network is configured and I have exported slice 0 (root) to the backup server using NFS.

I used nwrecover to select root and re-directed to the mounted partition, however, although I did not select /var, it is tring to recover /var also ??????

I've got round this by creating link on the s0 of the disk I'm recovering to /var > /dev/null - this will prevent it running out of space, but why on earth is networker trying to revover something I have not selected ???

Oh,

Server I recovering to is Solaris 9
Networker server is HP-UX 11i
Networker server is 7.1.2

Thanks,

Martin

I don't know. Probably a bug, probably a GUI problem 'only'.

- Use recover from the comnmand line
- cd to /
- 'add' all filesystems except for /var
- start the process with recover

Let's see if this will work.

thx, I intend to recover from the command line when I get five minutes, will see what happens.

Thanks for your reply,

Martin
